There’s a free plan instead of a trial. You can build your app and put it live on WeWeb Cloud Free at no cost: a WeWeb subdomain and up to 1,000 sessions in total. No credit card is needed. You start paying when you need a custom domain, more capacity, or features like code export.

Your workspace plan, plus a WeWeb Cloud plan for each app you host with us. For example, one app on your own domain with its database on WeWeb needs Essential or above, plus Launch+ or a larger tier for that app. Each additional live app has its own WeWeb Cloud plan. Apps you export and host yourself don’t need one.

Only for apps you want WeWeb to host. Each app you put live on WeWeb Cloud has its own WeWeb Cloud plan, from Free to Scale+. On Essential and above, you can instead export the app and host it yourself, with no WeWeb Cloud plan at all.

Only the people who build in the WeWeb editor. Each seat is for one named person and can’t be shared. Your app’s users never need a seat, and there’s no charge per user.

AI tokens power WeWeb AI, the assistant built into the editor: every time it generates pages, logic or designs, it uses tokens. Each plan includes a monthly amount, and on Pro and Partner you choose how many. Tokens reset every month and don’t roll over. If you run out, move to a larger token tier or wait for the next reset. AI tools you connect through the WeWeb MCP Server don’t use them.

No. When you connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another AI tool through the WeWeb MCP Server, the AI runs in that tool, so it uses your subscription with that AI provider, not the AI tokens in your WeWeb plan. The MCP Server is unlimited on Pro, Partner and Enterprise. On Free and Essential, you can try it for 14 days, then upgrade to Pro or Partner to keep using it.

Yes. The workspace owner changes the workspace plan under Plans & billing in the workspace settings, and each app’s hosting in the project’s WeWeb Cloud tab. Upgrades take effect right away and are prorated, so you only pay the difference for the rest of the period. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period, and you keep your current features until then. Legacy hosting plans can’t be upgraded directly: cancel the legacy plan, then buy a new one once it has expired.

Yes, on Essential and above. You can export your whole application, front-end and backend code, and deploy it on your own infrastructure. To keep building and maintaining the app in the WeWeb editor, you keep your workspace plan.

As many as you like, on every plan, including Free. Each project you host on WeWeb Cloud needs its own WeWeb Cloud plan.

Yes, on Pro, Partner and Enterprise. Invite colleagues to your workspace and give each one a seat. Everyone with a seat can sign in and work on the workspace’s projects.

Annual billing saves up to 20% compared to paying monthly, and in some countries we offer regional pricing, in your local currency at adjusted rates. We don’t offer other discounts, such as for startups, students or nonprofits.

We don’t refund the unused part of a monthly or annual plan when you cancel or downgrade, but you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. If you buy as an individual rather than for a business, you can withdraw within 14 days of purchase by emailing contact@weweb.io. You get back what you paid, minus the days you had access.

There’s no pause button, but you can cancel and resubscribe later. After your subscription ends, we keep your data for 90 days (30 days for Free accounts). Contact support within that time to get it back. After that, it’s permanently deleted.

Launch+, Grow+ and Scale+ include a full managed backend: a database, APIs, workflows and serverless functions. The Free tier includes a small database for testing. Front-end only is for static sites and front-ends that connect to an external backend, and doesn’t include a database or functions.

Front-end only. It hosts your app on your own domain and connects to any external backend. Launch+ and above add WeWeb’s own database, backend functions and file storage, which you don’t need if your backend lives elsewhere.

WeWeb AI lets you know with a message in the editor when your app hits a limit. What happens next depends on the tier. On Free, limits are hard: your app may become unavailable until you move it to a paid tier. On Front-end only, bandwidth above the included amount is billed at the pay-as-you-go rate. On Launch+ and Grow+, there are no extra charges: move up to a higher tier when you need more, or your app may be throttled or become unavailable. On Scale+, usage above the included amounts is billed at the pay-as-you-go rates. You’ll find all rates in the WeWeb Cloud comparison.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period. The app is then unpublished and its DNS entries are removed. We keep the database for 90 days, so you can resubscribe and recover your data.

No, it’s billed separately. When your app calls AI models through WeWeb’s AI Gateway, each workspace gets a free $1 credit. After that, usage is billed at cost, and you can set a monthly spending cap in your workspace billing settings. If you use your own API key, your AI provider bills you directly.

The export contains your app’s code and the structure of your tables, but not the records in them or the files uploaded to WeWeb: you move those to your own database and storage. You also add your API keys to the exported .env file. WeWeb’s AI Gateway and built-in email sending can’t be used in a self-hosted app, so you connect your own AI and email providers.

No. Sessions, bandwidth, database and compute limits only apply on WeWeb Cloud. When you self-host, the only limits are the ones of your own hosting.

Yes. Your license to the code you’ve exported is permanent and continues after you cancel. You can no longer use the editor, so you can’t change the app in WeWeb or export new versions. WeWeb doesn’t provide support, fixes or updates for self-hosted apps.

In the region you choose when you set up a project’s backend: United States, Europe or Asia-Pacific. Its database, files and backend workflows stay in that region. The choice can’t be changed later, so pick the region closest to your users or the one your compliance rules require.

Yes. Our Data Processing Agreement is part of our Terms of Service, so it applies automatically on every plan, including Free, with nothing to sign. Our current subprocessors are listed in its Annex 3, at dpa.weweb.io.

WeWeb AI only works in your development environment. Data in staging and production is never sent to AI providers, and the providers we use aren’t allowed to train their models on your data.
